Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more. In this episode we continue our work on the Explore page, this time starting work on the frontend of the application. Today we first bring in all of the new interfaces to match the entities that we created in the previous episode. Then we create a skeleton Explore page and setup all the different routes for explore in the app component. Finally, we spend the rest of the episode working on combining the Discovery Search bar and Discovery Search Bar Dropdown components into a single reusable component that can be imported into different components. After combining the two there is a small amount of refactoring that we needed to do before testing that it is working as expected.
